Paddling Saturday

Last Saturday's paddle was absolutely beautiful. The weather was in the 70's and I've never seen the Eagle Creek Reservoir so calm during the daytime.

We started around 8:30 from the bridge north of 79th on Lafayette Road, keep in mind there's currently no bridge at that spot. We paddled the short distance down Eagle Creek and into the reservoir, 2 canoes and 2 kayaks.

We realized we were on the "walking wounded" paddle trip for the day. We had Cristal was all decked out in her "Hammer" boot cover, and securely locked into the cockpit of her kayak for the trip. We also had Dave as he continues to recover from his knee surgery. He informed us he's not allowed to swim, so dumping the canoe was not an option.

Despite the injuries, we had a great time. I'll post some pictures later today.

Hummm... "walking wounded" I resemble that remark. Shall we not forget to mention you were part of our little injury party as well with your knee. Your's is just better disguised than ours.

I will no longer be a card carrier for our little injury club after tomorrow, HA! Happy days are here again.
