Power Cycle Test-out tonight...
Since my first test was on a broken meter and I hit over 500 watts... wish that were a real number, it'll be hard to know my real improvement regardless of the test-out number.
Still, a great program and a big thank you to Michael Sapper for pulling it together.

Prepping for the LBL Challenge
The planning efforts have stepped up for this weekend's LBL Challenge. We'll be taking a couple teams and heading down to Kentucky for 24 hours of fun (and torture).
Tires.... semi-slick or knobbie? I'm thinking knobbie and others are confirming that choice.
Pedals... clipless or PowerStraps? Clipless, and again confirmations by others.
Misc... chain tool and links given all the downed trees; red bull for some caffiene; hmmm... what else?
I'm looking forward to this first race of the season for me.

Missouri River 340... webcam
This August's 340 mile paddle race will be here before I know it. I just found a great link to a live webcam that's at the 285 mile point on the race... I'll have to wave to my kiddo's as I pass!

ICO Rogaine 2009
What a great day for a Rogaine!
The morning was cool and crisp, but it turned out to be a great day in the low 50's. After about 3 hours I had some knee issues, but thank you to Cristal for that great Tylenol helper...
It's a wonder she had any left to offer given the major gouge she created in her knee during that fight she had with the fallen log. I'd have to say she lost, given the blood loss... Go Cristal!! What a fighter!
Cherry Lake was the start/stop... thanks to Indiana Crossroads Orienteering for a great event and Rootstocker Jerry for a great course design!!

Power Meter Training
I'm a believer now... I used to be a heart rate monitor watcher, but since I've done a few workouts with a power meter I've seen the benefits of instant wattage feedback.
Now I just need to figure out how to get one of these gadgets (and the computer software to go with it) at home!
